As I always seem to say - the last couple of weeks have been absolutely monumental for French house, future funk, disco and electro house - so much so, that today's promotion post is likely one of the biggest on the blog so far - as there's a huge stack of A-list releases from a massive range of people - including some legends, many underground stalwarts and also lots of new people who I've never blogged about before, so buckle your seat belts - this, is going to be a big one! Released through independent Wales-based-label My Pet Flamingo in December 2019 - the sophomore album from American YouTuber, music fanatic, DJ and producer Pad Chennington - who initially shot to fame a few years prior for his explorative deep dives into underground music - is an absolutely brilliant, and incredibly fun and playful record that manages to expertly meld the sounds of future funk and choppy, tight French house, with a few slower excursions thrown in there for good measure - that boasts an extremely impressive line-up of collaborators and serves as a major step forward in almost every way from his debut album Contrast, which I thought would be pretty hard to top after lots of listens!
