What I've Been Listening To: June 2026

Hey everyone - welcome back at the discotheque! It's been a very long time since I last did a post talking about what's been on rotation for me recently - so seeing as it's Saturday (and quite frankly, I'm in the mood to do a bit of blogging!) - I think it's time for the next installment in the 'What I've Been Listening To' series. June was a pretty sweet month for me, and I've been spinning a whole bunch of French house and nu-disco from multiple different eras - so I hope that this post serves you well in looking for new tracks to bump!  Let's get started! Broke One - Go Go Go (2011) Released towards the end of the 'bloghouse' era on iconic label La Valigetta - this cut up filter house jam from Italian producer Broke One - who's since become one of my main musical inspirations, is an absolutely fantastic track. Bloghouse Revival: One Year On

Hey everyone - welcome back at the discotheque! It's been a little while since the last post on the blog (wow, I'm saying that far too often these days!) - but seeing as summer is now well and truly upon us (it's a sweltering twenty-six degrees outside as I write this - how I'm not dead or melting in a puddle I find remarkable...) - I now have a whole bunch of time to post, so buckle your damn seat belts, because I have a whole lot to say! While I'd like to say that in no way was my post on the blog-era the major catalyst for the return of ...

All of the amazing stuff released in May: Part Two!

Hey everyone - welcome back at the discotheque! As I mentioned on Saturday - May was a frankly epic month in terms of releases in French house, future funk, blog-era electro and disco - and it was an incredibly busy couple of weeks - hence why I had to split this post into two parts (as writing about twenty releases in one go would likely kill me, ha!) - either way, today I bring you part two of all of the amazing stuff released last month - so buckle your seat belts - this is going to be a great one! Oran Jusu - Ain't Got Time If you've been reading the blog a ton lately - or just keeping up with the wider future funk scene in general, then you damn well know that Oran Jusu - the Edinburgh-based producer is making some of the most amazing future funk and nu disco jams right now. With his debut album releasing next Friday - Ain't Got Time is the final single from what is looking to be a stunning record. As for the track itself - it's a truly fantastic nu disco outing wi...
