Hey everyone - welcome back at the discotheque!
It's been around two weeks since the last promotion post on the blog - and as 2025 drew to a close, we were treated to so many fantastic releases from so many awesome people - and as we enter 2026, I have nothing but hope for all of these scenes!
So without further ado - let's start 2026 off well, and get into some of the best releases over the last two weeks!
Moe Shop - HARDCODED
To kick this post off, I wanted to talk about Tokyo-based producer and DJ Moe Shop's incredible new single - which was released independently on December 27th. Hardcoded feels like a welcome continuation of the stuff present on their latest EP - Evo Evo - it's an incredibly energetic, daring single with fantastic production which is punchy, effortlessly bright, jittery and crystal clear at the same time, making this an excellent track to light up parties and clubs as we go into 2026.
If I had to give this single a definition - it's electro house reminiscent of the blog-era with a slight French touch - and if this got dropped in the late 2000s, I can almost guarantee it would be signed to Moda or Ed Banger in a flash.
You can find Hardcoded on Moe's Bandcamp now!
Moe Shop - BONSOIR (Luv4Loop Remix)
Building onto the topic of Moe Shop - on December 20th, listeners were treated to a brilliant garage remix of Bonsoir by everybody's favourite Liverpool based producer - Luv4Loop. Also released independently - this edit turns the original track - a punchy, filtery summer anthem, into a late 90s choppy garage workout which you could mistake for the work of Todd Edwards.
It's brilliant - go and give it a listen!
Louis La Roche & Mike Mago - Don't Wanna Dance
Released just today on Armada Music - Don't Wanna Dance is the excellent new single from Norwich based nu disco / house producer Louis La Roche, featuring Mike Mago - and to no-one's surprise, it is an absolutely fantastic single. Stuffed to the brim with beautiful instrumentation (the chords are stunning!) - buttery smooth production and some excellent vocal work from Mike - this new single is a fantastic way to kick off 2026 - and it's already shaping up to be a favourite of mine!
You can check this brilliant single out on all good streaming platforms - but I'll link the SoundCloud here!
Cheers! - Xmas No.1
Released through his label ADBRK on Christmas Day - the new single from Norwich based producer and DJ Cheers is nothing short of fantastic. It's a funky, filtery jam laced with his signature style - with thumping beats, fantastic sampling techniques and if my ears serve me correctly, some fantastic, glittery synth work (well, the pads!) - to add, this new single reminds me heavily of the work of various blog-era legends - mixing the styles of Poka, Evil Stereo and Cyda Luv fantastically - a rather nice mix, if you ask me!
You can find Xmas No.1 on SoundCloud.
dreamer eighty seven - Remixes Vol.1
Okay, so - before we get back into all of the dope new releases from a bunch more talented people - I just wanted to let y'all know that I released my first remixes EP on January 1st - containing all of the French house / disco remixes I've done so far. Some of them are a little strange, some of them are slightly hap-hazardous - but overall, they're all meant to be fun. If you want to check it out - please do!
Le Sorv - Outrageous Trashy Trackz Vol. II
When the universe needed him most - he returned.
Released through legendary label and collective Creux La Nuit on December 26th - the new album from Brazilian producer and DJ Le Sorv is absolutely fantastic, as one would expect - it's a record filled with incredible grooves, ridiculously funky jams and disco bangers which is sure to make your summer.
Across the album's 15 tracks, Le Sorv demonstrates his immense level of skill behind the boards - every single track on this release feels built for clubs, parties and festivals - every sample is flipped damn near expertly, every track is sugary sweet and stuffed with joy - and there's a wide range of ideas, moods and styles to keep listeners busy throughout. A few prime examples of this can be sourced from Sweet Girl - done with Sboulouf Le Detective - which feels like a healthy mix between Le Knight Club and His Majesty Andre - Dear Axel - which is likely a tribute to legendary Parisian producer Axel Le Baron - and The Things She Said - which, although a filtery, early 2000s styled workout - feels reminiscent of The Phantom's Revenge in some way.
You can check out this excellent release, which is full of future classics - on Bandcamp now.
Melee - Thee Californians
Released through SoundCloud on the winter solstice (21st December!) - the brand new single from San-Diego based producer and DJ Melee is an incredibly interesting, quirky and funky track filled with tension - sure, it's disco influenced house - but to add, it has a whole lot of lo-fi crunch to it, and some nasty acid influences in the middle to boot - giving this single an added touch of grit and flamboyance. It's taken from his upcoming album, which is releasing on January 9th - so be sure to go and give it a spin when it drops.
In the meantime - go and bump this - it's truly excellent!
GeoFunk - Static Machine
Released through SoundCloud on New Years Eve - Static Machine is the brand new EP from Dutch producer GeoFunk - who readers will know, has been cooking up some of the most fire filtery beats - only using his phone (I know, very impressive!) - and this EP is no exception.
Static Machine is stuffed with the usual stuff - mostly club ready, Crydamoure-esque tracks and joyful house ditties - but also some more experimental stuff - such as Choking Hazard (my personal favourite!) - which clearly is a direct nod to Mr. Oizo's iconic 2008 long player Lambs Anger, and Dansmusiq - which feels like an Artzie era future funk track!
To sum it up in the best way I can - Static Machine is a real treat of an EP - and there's all kinds of fun ideas to be shared - so be sure to give it a spin and support a rising producer in the scene!
Find it in the link below.
Hollowire - Hollowverse
Released independently on December 30th - the brand new album from Spanish electro-house producer Hollowire - who is also a valued member of Creux La Nuit - dropped, and boy, it is fantastic. Mixing the sounds of French electro, pop and glittery synthwave - all while incorporating a metaphorical space journey - Hollowverse is a fantastic listening experience (and a great record) which closes out 2025 perfectly.
My personal favourites on this cracking album include Stratospheric Loop - a glitchy, yet effortlessly groovy, filter house influenced banger which reminds me heavily of Chicago house and Justice at the same time - the incredible yet spacey titular track featuring FireJojoBoy - a smooth, glitzy jam with some fantastic instrumentation, heavy late 80s influences and a brilliant vocal performance from FJB - and the frankly epic Deep Space / Asteroid Fields - which progresses from an emotional, heavy piano led composition to a pounding electro house jam which could genuinely raise hell at clubs - it's basically the second version of Genesis!
Overall, this album is an absolutely incredible release - and it is every bit as epic as it is stunning, wild and awesome. You can find it on all good streaming platforms now - but I'm going to link the Bandcamp so you can support Hollowire directly!
Gliczide - Present Soul
Released through Bandcamp on New Years Eve - Present Soul is the brand new EP from Russian producer and DJ Gliczide - who, across the last month, has been pumping out a massive amount of French house for you all to marvel over.
I've decided to pick his latest offering out, because quite frankly - it's really, really good. Across Present Soul's six excellent tracks - the Russian producer presents himself as one of filter house's most impressive new talents - all of the bangers on this EP are ridiculously funky, produced incredibly well and if you're a label owner - I'd sign this guy quick!
My personal favourites on this EP include the thumping club weapon Katleti - which feels like an extremely dope mix of DJ Sneak's early work, with its thumping beats and lots of low end - and oddly enough, the work of Vanguard - due to the excellent sample chopping and selection - Only Time - a smooth (and very calming) track which feels like a direct nod to the work of La Zebra and Cherokee - and the groovy, shuffle led weapon Riviera - which, to me, is a joyful ode to the late 90s French house scene.
Go and grab it now!
There you have it, everyone!
I hope you've enjoyed reading today's post - be sure to go and support all of the artists featured, and as always - keep enjoying your stay at the discotheque.
